Fata Adhoc Lecturers Announce Boycott Of Classes

PESHAWAR, 22 September: Lecturers appointed on adhoc basis in Fata colleges have announced boycott of classes due to non-regularization of their services and suspension of salaries.
As a first step of their protest, the lecturers will continue their boycott till October 5 to press the government accept their demands.
“If our demands are not met till the deadline, we will expand our protest and start holding demonstrations in different agencies,” Nasir Ali, secretary information of the lecturers’ association.
“Our contract has expired one year ago and since then our salaries have been withheld. The government made several commitments with us but to no avail. The Peshawar High Court had also ruled in our favor but the director Fata does not obey the court orders,” Ali maintained.
