Programme Launched For Assistance Of Kurram Displaced People

SADDA, 23 September: The government has initiated ‘Sada-e-Aman’ programme in Kurram Agency to help the people displaced due to law and order issues.

An official of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Muhammad Zeb said all the affected families will get Rs16,000 assistance in four instalments through the National Bank and Tameer Bank. He said the people having cards of the FATA Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) and returning to the area according to government instructions will be entitled for the financial assistance.

“All the affected people will get Rs16,000 in monthly instalments of Rs4,000. The banks will issue ATM cards to the affected people for their convenience. We have ATM machine inside our office where these people can withdraw money,” Mr Zeb told TNN.

He said the affected people can get the financial assistance after confirmation of their credentials. He said the programme will continue for five years.
