PARACHINAR: The political administration of Kurram Agency distributed compensation cheques among the 40 owners of houses which were damaged in the militancy in the area. 
The cheques were handed over at a ceremony held in Sada Jirga Hall on Thursday. A number of tribal elders and owners of damaged houses of Kurram agency attended the event. 
The owners of 40 damaged house out of 259 received the compensation cheques of Rs 0. 3 million to completely damaged house and Rs. 0. 1 million to partially damaged house. On the occasion, Political Agent said that tribesmen sacrifice everything because of insurgency in the area and the authority will continue its efforts for the rehabilitation of the affected masses of Kurram. 
One Munir the affected persons said on the occasion that the given amount to them was very low and they cannot rebuild their houses on the money, government should needs to increase the money to some extent. 
Meanwhile, elders of Kurram agency accuses the NGOs for looting the public money and the authorities concerned kept their close towards it. Elders of the area, Muzamil Bangash, Abid Hussain Tori and Shabir Sajidi said this while talking to local journalists. 
They said that most of the employees working in these NGOs were outsiders and they appointing their own people on the vacant posts to continue their looting on the name of social work and the eligible candidates of the area were ignoring in it. 
They added that by recruiting the local people there were minimum chances of corruption in the said projects. They demanded from the high ups to take notice of the situation and give some relief to the people of the area.
