SADDA, 31 December: A member of a local Jirga in Kurram Agency has accused the political subedar of locking him in a room and subjecting him to torture for not giving bribe to him.
The Jirga member Muhammad Yousaf told TNN that Subedar Muhammadi Khan took Rs50,000 from him for resolving a dispute. He alleged that the subedar further demanded additional Rs90,000 after few days in head of Jirga fee and resolving the dispute. He said he refused to pay the money as there will be no record of such payment and transparency in the matter. He said the tehsildar locked him inside a room and subjected him to torture for not paying the ‘bribe’.
“The tehsildar asked me to pay the money the next day by 8:00am. When I reached his home, he called his other relatives and started torturing me. They fractured my one finger and I have also lost vision in my one eye. I have also infection in my kidney after the torture,” the Jirga member alleged.
Muhammad Yousaf said he has submitted an application with the political administration and also provided proofs, but no action has been taken against the tehsildar.
Subedar Muhammadi Khan has rejected the charges, saying that he never sought any money and the allegations of torture are not true.

د کرم ايجنسۍ جرګه مار محمد يوسف په پوليټيکل صوبيدار باندې تور لګولې چې په رشوت نه ورکول ئي کمره کښې بند کړې او تشدود ئي پرې کړي دې۔ ټي اين اين سره خبرو کښي محمد يوسف اووئيل چي دوي يوې جرګے حل کولو لپاره ترې پوليټېکل صوبيدار محمدي خان پنځوس زره روپۍ اغستې وي ولې څو ورځي پس ئي ترې د شخړے هوارولو او جرګے فيس په مد کښې د نورو نوي زره روپو غوښتنه کوله ولې دوي د رقم ورکولو نه انکار وکړو ځکه چې دوي سره هيڅ ثبوت نه وو چې دا پيسې سرکار يا اعلې افسرانو له ورکوي۔ په انکار کولو صوبيدار محمدي خان دوې په يو کمره کښي بند کړو او سخت تشدد ئي پرې اوکړو۔
” دۀ ماته اووئيل چې صبا اتۀ بجو ته پيسۍ راوړه، چې کله ځه کور ته ورلم نو دۀ د پلار په شمول د کور ټول کسانو ته اواز اوکړو او دروازے ئي راپسۍ بند کړې او تشدد ئي راباندې شروع کړو، زما اوګه ئي ماتي کړه، د يوې سترګې نظر مې ختم شوې دې ګرده کښې مې هم زخم راغلې”
دوي زياته کړې چې پوليټيکل انتظاميئے ته ئي د صوبيدار په ضد درخواست او ثبوتونه ورکړي ولې تر اوسه پرې هيڅ کاروائي اونشوه۔ بلخوا صوبيدار محمدي خان دغه الزامات رد کړي او وئيلي دي چي دوي نه خو د چا نه پيسۍ اغستي او نه ئي محمد يوسف باندې تشدد کړې دې۔
