150 villages in Central Kurram declared safe for IDPs return
PARACHINAR, 21 March: More than 150 villages in Central Kurram Agency have been declared safe for the return of the internally displaced tribesmen by the political administration, official sources said.
The sources maintained that the local authorities have been conveyed through the Fate secretariat that 49 villages in Masozai, 35 in Mirmat Khel, 16 in Misar Khel, 18 in Qisa Khel and 22 villages in Zemasht areas have been cleared by the security forces and are now safe for the return of IDPs.
The local authorities estimated that upto 14,000 displaced people would be repatriated to the cleared areas.
More than 40,000 people were forced to leave their homes after sectarian violence between Sunni and Shia erupted in Central Kurram in 2010. These displaced tribesmen were accommodated in Durrani and Togh Sarai makeshift camps.
The people of these areas have expressed pleasure over the clearance of the areas and their intending repatriation.
“We spent a miserable time while staying away from home. Now we are very happy and thankful to the Almighty Allah that our areas have been cleared,” remarked a resident of the Central Kurram.
It merits a mention here that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has directed all the relevant authorities to complete the repatriation process of all IDPs belonging to Orakzai and Kurram agencies.

انتظامیه وائی چی کلئير علاقو ته به د دولس نه تر څوارلس زره پوری متاثرین واپس کولې شی او دا چی دوی ته ئی د واپسئ لپاره د تیاریانو وینا کړی ده. دغه بیکوره شوؤ کښی ځنی ټی این این سره خبرو کښي د واپسئ خبر باندی خوشحالئ ښکاره کړی دی.
