Al-Khidmat Foundation distributes wheelchairs among disabled people
PESHAWAR, 16 March: Al-Khidmat Foundation, a subsidiary welfare organization of Jamaat-e-Islami, has distributed wheelchairs among 360 physical handicapped persons here the other day.
District president of the foundation Noor ur Haq gave the wheelchairs to the disabled persons in a ceremony.
One of the recipients told TNN on the occasion that the wheelchairs would enable them to commute as they had been facing mobility problems due to their disability.
The disabled persons also demanded of the government to make government offices wheelchairs-friendly to facilitate physically handicapped people. They also demanded that special arrangements be made in public transport for the disabled people.
